1990 - Durham Bulls, single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves is sold to CBC, 1st Carolina League team to surpass 300,000 attendance record in one season

1995 - New Durham Bulls Athletic Park opens in downtown Durham

1997 - Durham Bulls become Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays at the end of the 1997 season

2002 - Durham Bulls win 1st International League Championship

4/17/2006 - B.J. Upton hit a walk-off grand slam to give the Durham Bulls a 5-4 victory over the Toledo Mud Hens in their 2006 Home Opener on Friday, April 14th. A record crowd of 11,060 attended the game surpassing the previous mark of 10,916 recorded on July 3rd, 2001.

4/28/2007 - The Durham Bulls unveil a new mascot: a cotton candy-loving Blue Monster discovered during construction in left field. You could say, he came out of left field.

9/6/2007 - Durham Mayor Bill Bell officially dubs the Durham Bulls Athletic Park as Goodmon Field for CBC President & CEO Jim Goodmon. The Durham City Council voted unanimously on the naming in April, and the surprise presentation took place after the Bulls 2nd playoff game.
