About the United Way of the Greater Triangle:
United Way of the Greater Triangle brings together local partner agencies, nonprofits, government volunteers and experts in Durham, Orange and Wake counties to focus on lasting changes to key issues. This is what it means to LIVE UNITED.
United Way of the Greater Triangle was born out of the consolidation of the United Ways of Durham, Orange and Wake counties in 1996 and the addition of Johnston County in 2009. The consolidation reduced overhead costs while allowing for the expansion of services across the region.
With the help of thousands of volunteers, United Way of the Greater Triangle, is now working to build our community. Last year, they touched the lives of more than 300,000 people in need across Durham, Johnston, Orange and Wake counties.
Your family, friends and neighbors need help every day to face serious challenges: homelessness, quality child care, training for a new job, counseling and hunger. These are just a few of the basic needs that United Way of the Greater Triangle is working to meet.
Together, UNITED, we accomplish more than any single group can on its own.
The Mission of the United Way of the Greater Triangle: To improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities.
