UNC-TV is North Carolina's member supported, 11-station statewide television network committed to using telecommunications wisely and imaginatively to inform, educate and enrich all North Carolinians.

UNC-TV's broadcasts include a wide array of locally produced programming, including North Carolina People with William Friday, UNC-TV's longest running program. About 40% of UNC-TV's program schedule features commercial-free and educational programming for children.
UNC-TV also broadcasts many of WRAL-TV's original documentaries, as well as the WRAL-produced children's program Smart Start Kids.
About FESTIVAL:
Each year UNC-TV runs its major fundraising campaign during with winter, with special programming. Hosts of volunteers answer phone lines to take pledges. FESTIVAL 2009 will run from February 21- March 29.
The annual pledge drive features great programming, live in-studio guests, fantastic fun and more.
CBC & WRAL-TV will have their own night at FESTIVAL on Tues, Feb 24th. WRAL-TV personalities will help with in-between programming requests for donations, and staffers from many CBC divisions will help man the phone bank. |
