CBC Community Profile

Capitol Broadcasting Company believes one of our greatest responsibilities is supporting our community. CBC’s Community Profile is a new monthly feature on the Web – a way to inform our employees and the public about the work of area non-profits, and their volunteer opportunities and needs.

For November 2007, take closer look at the first-ever Nonprofit Awareness Month in North Carolina.

About Nonprofit Awareness Month
A statewide collaborative initiative in Nov. 2007 to celebrate the contributions made by nonprofits-- which enrich and enliven our communities and improve the quality of life of North Carolinians --in all of North Carolina's 100 counties. Participants are nonprofits across the state and their staff, board members, and volunteers.

NAM logoThe goal is to educate the public about the contributions that nonprofits make every day in our communities; to help create a better understanding about the value and importance of the nonprofit sector to our state; and to increase volunteerism and philanthropy.

How To Help with Nonprofit Awareness Month:
GET INVOLVED
BECOME A SUPPORTER
Supporters are individuals, nonprofits, foundations, and companies that make a financial contribution to NAM.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
