Miracle League of the Triangle

About the Miracle League of the Triangle:
The Miracle League of the Triangle believes every child deserves a chance to play baseball. The organization provides opportunities to all children with special needs to play America's favorite pastime regardless of their abilities. The league also works to increase community awareness and support and to construct and maintain special facilities that meet the unique needs of players and their families.

Miracle League of the TriangleThe beginnings of the Miracle League came in 1997 when Rockdale Youth Baseball Association coach Eddie Bagwell invited the first child with special needs to play baseball on his team. The official league was formed the next year in Georgia with 35 players on 4 teams. By 2001, the league has over 250 players. There are now 200 Miracle League Organizations across the country.

The Miracle League of the Triangle broke ground on their Cary facility in February 2006 and celebrated their Opening Day ceremony that September. The Triangle League now has over 200 children on 16 teams.
